France and Germany are responsible for Russia's occupation of part of the territories of Georgia and Ukraine due to the blocking in 2008 in Bucharest of providing Ukraine with an Action Plan on NATO membership. This was announced by the Secretary of the National Security Council, Aleksey Danilov, writes Forbes.
According to him, the Russian Federation "attacked Georgia and Ukraine after France and Germany blocked our action plan for NATO membership." It happened in Bucharest 13 years ago.
In addition, he accused the French authorities of corruption.
"Our international partners accuse us of not overcoming corruption." But there is also corruption in European countries. For example, in 2008, the French engaged in negotiations between Georgia and Russia, and as a result, the Georgians lost part of their territory, and the French received an order for Mistrals (warships - ed.) from Russia," Danilov said.
Danilov added that he "constantly reminds them of this" when meeting with the German and French authorities.
