Great Britain will change visa rules and allow Ukrainian minors to enter the country unaccompanied. This was reported by the editor of the internal policy department The Times.
"Ministers will change visa rules to allow unaccompanied Ukrainian children and teenagers to come to the UK. Current rules prevent children under 18 who do not have a parent or guardian from coming to the UK, leaving hundreds of people stranded and at risk from Russia.” - says the message.
The new rules are designed to make it easier for children who are stuck in Europe due to these bans or forced to stay in Ukraine due to war to enter the UK. It is emphasized that there are more than 500 such children.
The changes will allow children and teenagers to enter the country freely with permission from their parents or guardians and the Ukrainian government, which already allows people over the age of 16 to leave without a permit.
The current rule prohibits anyone under 18 from entering the UK unaccompanied by a parent or guardian. This decision will enable hundreds of refugee children and teenagers to enter the UK.
