The final of the international competition "Miss Universe" was held in Israel
The 70th international beauty contest was held on December 12 in Eilat, Israel. 21-year-old Harnaaz Sandhu from India beat 79 runners-up from different countries and territories, including Miss Paraguay Nadia Ferreira and Miss South Africa Lalela Mswane, who entered the final three.
The new, 70th Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu is an activist in the struggle for the expansion of women's rights and opportunities, and she calls actress and model Priyanka Chopra her idol. She is fond of yoga, dancing, cooking, horseback riding, and playing chess.
Ukraine was represented by 27-year-old Anna Neplyakh, who appeared on the Universe Arena stage in a national costume with ornaments symbolizing all regions of Ukraine. Unfortunately, the Ukrainian woman did not manage to get into the top 16 contenders for the title "Miss Universe 2021".
"80 girls from all over the world and only one had her dream come true, and for the others, perhaps the whole world collapsed. And if we cannot influence the circumstances, we can always change our attitude to this situation. I didn't get anywhere, but honestly, I'm so happy, I'm in such bliss! Some girls cry, worry, eat chocolate... But I'm so happy with myself, I'm so happy with the way I've come, and that I'm here, among such beauties," the girl wrote on her Instagram.
