Trump, Putin, Lukashenko and others received the Nobel Prize for the fight against the coronavirus

About ten world leaders have won the Nobel Prize for measures to combat the coronavirus

About ten world leaders have won the Nobel Prize for measures to combat the coronavirus. This was reported on competition website.

Thus, the "award" of Harvard University in the USA went to the President of the United States of America Donald Trump, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the President of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro and the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

In addition, the winners of the 2020 Nobel Prize were Prime Minister of Great Britain Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, President of Mexico Andrés Manuel López Obrador and President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. These leaders were awarded a joke award "for using the Covid-19 pandemic, which showed the world that politicians can have a more direct influence on life and death than scientists and doctors." The prize for the award winners was a cube glued together from sheets of paper and a copy of a 10 trillion Zimbabwean dollar banknote.

The Nobel Prize is a parody of the prestigious international award, the Nobel Prize. It is awarded "for achievements that make you laugh first, and then think." The awarding of the prize in some cases expresses veiled criticism, as, apparently, this time too.
