The founder of Twitter is called to the carpet in the Senate: the social network blocks posts about Biden

He must explain the social network's recent decision to limit the distribution of a New York Post article about Joe Biden

In the US, Twitter founder Jack Dorsey should be summoned to the Senate to explain the social network's recent decision to limit the distribution of a New York Post article about Joe Biden.

So, on Tuesday, the full Judiciary Committee will vote on the question of calling Jack Dorsa to the Committee. This was reported by Senator Ted Cruz, Interfax-Ukraine writes.

He noted that the social network restricts access through its platforms to an article in the New York newspaper about the contacts of the presidential candidate from the Democratic Party with an employee of the Ukrainian company Burisma.

Earlier, the New York Post newspaper provided correspondence materials from which it is clear that in 2015, thanks to his son Hunter, Biden had a meeting with a high-ranking employee of the Ukrainian company Burisma, Vadym Pozharsky, although he later claimed that he had never had such contacts.

Information about Joe Biden's meeting with Pozharsky interested the US mass media, since the former vice president himself assured that he had never discussed business activities outside the States with his son. At the same time, Biden's campaign staff called the New York Post information unreliable. And social networks Facebook and Twitter came to the conclusion that the published information may indeed be unreliable and therefore limited access to this publication through their platforms.
