The scandalous Odessa activist, who is suspected of premeditated murder, Serhiy Sternenko, was refused by the Supreme Court of Ukraine to grant a petition to change jurisdiction. He announced this on social networks.
The Supreme Court of Ukraine determined that the case against Sternenko should be heard in the Maritime Court of the city of Odesa, and recognized as insufficient the reasons given by the defense of the accused, such as the residence in Kyiv of all parties to the process, including Sternenko himself and representatives of the victims, and the alleged influence of the Odesa city authorities on local decisions courts:
"We insisted that the hearing be held in Kyiv, because both I, the prosecution, and the representative of the "victims" live in the capital. In addition, the Odessa courts are influenced by Trukhanov, who ordered the attacks on me. However, the judges decided that these grounds were insufficient," Sternenko wrote on his page.
