The administration of seaports also intends to demand from the owner of the tanker compensation for losses in the amount of more than two million hryvnias.
The court of the Odesa region ordered the arrest of the Delfi tanker, which sank near the Odesa beach at the end of last year. Thus, the claim of the Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine LLC against the owner of the tanker was partially satisfied. This follows from the data of the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.
"Guided by Art. Articles 136, 137, 140, 141, 234 of the Economic Procedural Code, the court decided to satisfy the application of LLC AMPU in the person of the Administration of the Odessa Sea Port on August 31, 2020 to secure the claim — to impose an arrest on the property of the company — the owner of the ship MISTER DRAKE PC with the right to move it or removal of the Head of State Police of Ukraine or by other persons on behalf of the latter," says the ruling issued by judge Iryna Malyarchuk.
The document also states that the debtor is the company MISTER DRAKE PC (United Kingdom), and its representative is a resident of the Nikolaev region, Yury Golykov. The resolution entered into force on September 1, 2020.
Consideration of the case of the AMPU claim against the owner of the Delfi tanker for the recovery of damages in the amount of 2 million 355 thousand UAH 698 is scheduled for September 23.
As a reminder, the ship ran aground in November 2019, after it was torn from its anchor during a strong storm.
