Oligarch Novinsky made a bail of 30 million hryvnias for Trukhanov

People's deputy Vadym Novinsky made a deposit for the mayor of Odesa, Gennady Trukhanov, which amounted to more than 30 million hryvnias.

Bail for Trukhanov in the amount of 30 million 200 thousand hryvnias was transferred in the evening of November 23.

Earlier, on October 11, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court denied the prosecutor the arrest of Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov and set a bail of 30,2 million hryvnias. VAKS judge Oksana Oleynyk also imposed a number of obligations on the mayor of Odessa, including refraining from communicating with other suspects and handing over foreign passports.

Later on November 24, Vadym Novinsky said that he made the bail for Trukhanov "due to old friendship", and added that he does not have any assets in Odessa and does not claim mutual assistance from the mayor.

Let us remind you that Mayor Trukhanov is involved in the so-called "Odessa case" - he, along with other 15 defendants, including Oleg Bryndak and his former business partner Vladimir Galanternyk, are suspected of creating a criminal organization that actually controlled the city government and acted in several directions : transfer of land for development to related developers; illegal privatization; embezzlement of budget funds.

All suspects deny their guilt.
