Modernization of the "Dniester" station: the head of the commission on housing and communal services of the Odessa City Council familiarized himself with the progress of the works

The city authorities intend to support any upgrades of equipment and networks

The Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Odessa City Council on Housing and Communal Services Alexander Ivanytskyi visited the Dniester Water Treatment Plant. This was reported in the Infoksvodokanal branch.

During the visit, the head of the commission familiarized himself with the implementation of the investment program for the modernization of the strategic enterprise of Odessa and the region by the "Infoksvodokanal" branch.

Vodokanal specialists demonstrated modern Austrian ANDRITZ pumps in operation. As Maksym Zanfirov, first deputy director of the Infoksvodokanal branch, noted, the new pumps are more reliable and economical than their counterparts. However, the new electrical equipment and automatic pump control systems installed at city pumping stations have already made it possible to reduce electricity consumption by 30%.

In addition, Ivanytskyi visited the modernized laboratory at the Dniester station, which meets all modern requirements. Expensive modern equipment was purchased here, including the Japanese SHIMADZU chromatograph. From now on, laboratory specialists can analyze the quality of drinking water purification according to more than 60 indicators. In addition, the premises were repaired, special laboratory furniture was purchased and ventilation was installed.

And in order for the water to be even cleaner and safer, "Infoksvodokanal" renovated chlorination plant No. 8, in which Danish water disinfection equipment from GRUNDFOS was installed. It is distinguished by increased reliability, accuracy and safety.

Having familiarized himself with the new equipment, Ivanytsky noted that "Infoksvodokanal" fulfills its obligations and carries out a well-thought-out comprehensive modernization of the entire enterprise. And, the city authorities will monitor the development of priority modernization measures for the next year and support any updates of equipment and networks.

In turn, Zanfirov emphasized that "Infoksvodokanal" does not skimp on quality, reliability and safety.

"The company prefers modern equipment from world manufacturers. More than a million consumers drink our water, this is a colossal responsibility. Therefore, we strive to meet modern European standards," he noted.
