The American Coast Guard frigate USCGC Hamilton arrived in Odessa on Monday morning, May 10.
At 8:30 a.m., the ship docked at berth 15 of the Sea Station.
Earlier, on May 8, the flagship of the Ukrainian Maritime Guard, the corvette BG50 Grigory Kuropyatnikov, went to meet the frigate. The maneuvers were conducted more than 100 miles from Odessa during a 4-point storm.
The next day, the Ukrainian patrol boat "Starobelsk" joined the ships to conduct a Passex-type exercise. At the beginning of April, the American frigate left the USA, crossed the Atlantic, visited the American naval base Rota, which is in Spain, and the base in Naples.
This is the first visit by a US Coast Guard ship since 2008, when the frigate USCGC Dallas (WHEC 716) called.
