You can file a missing persons report by calling the hotline number, the head of the National Police

The National Police of Ukraine expanded the functionality of the hotline and clarified how to act and where to contact if you do not know the whereabouts of loved ones. This was announced by the head of the National Police, Ihor Klymenko.

"We are expanding the functionality of the hotline for relatives of the dead 089 420 18 67. Now you can also file a missing person's report using this number," says Ihor Klymenko. Therefore, if you do not know the whereabouts of loved ones, inform the National Police about it by choosing the communication format convenient for you:

For an effective search, it is necessary to provide the most complete personal data:

  • personal data, date, month and year of birth; date and place of disappearance of the individual; special signs (tattoos, scars, piercings, etc.);
  • things that a person could have with him (mobile phone, documents, jewelry, etc.).

Unfortunately, now in specialized institutions there are unknown bodies of victims of the Russian occupiers. It is important to establish their names and give relatives the opportunity to say goodbye and bury the dead. Therefore, relatives of the missing can submit biological samples for comparison of DNA profiles. How to go through this procedure, the specialist of the hotline 089 420 18 67 will tell you.

In general, according to the National Police, since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, almost 5 thousand people are considered missing. During this time, the police managed to find 2870 people. More than 2 are still wanted.
