Today, April 26, in Odesa, the memory of the participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster was commemorated and flowers were laid at the monument to Odessans-Chernobyl residents.
Dmytro Voloshenkov, the first deputy head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleg Radkovskiy, the first deputy head of the Odesa Regional Council, and representatives of public organizations of Chornobyl took part in the mourning event.
"Events at the Chornobyl NPP will never be erased from the memory of current or future generations. This catastrophe is for the whole of Ukraine, Oleg Radkovskiy noted, Eternal memory to all the heroes-liquidators of the consequences of that terrible accident, who at the cost of their lives and health protected us from the atomic disaster."
