The mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Martsynkiv, instructed the head of the Municipal Inspectorate to form a group of volunteers in case of an aggravation of the situation and an invasion of Russia. He announced this on his Facebook page.
"In the event of a full-scale invasion, volunteers will be able to go to defend our land on the eastern border. Because we all understand that there will be an exacerbation. We need to be ready. If volunteers will go east from Ivano-Frankivsk, it is better that they serve together," the mayor wrote.
And he added that at the moment 36 combatants are working in the Municipal Inspectorate.
