In Ukraine, the number of victims of Russian aggression among children has increased significantly

At least 1063 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of Russia's full-scale armed aggression. As of the morning of Saturday, August 6, the official number of child victims was 361, more than 702 were injured, the Office of the Prosecutor General.

It is indicated that these numbers are not final, as work is ongoing to establish them in places of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

Children were most affected in the Donetsk region - 371, Kharkiv region - 197, Kyiv region - 116, Chernihiv region - 68, Luhansk region - 61, Mykolaiv region - 58, Kherson region - 55, Zaporizhia region - 40.

The day before, it became known that on August 5, a 13-year-old boy was wounded as a result of shelling in Mykolaiv.

The prosecutors also learned that on July 28, a minor boy was wounded in the shelling of the village of Chornobayivka in the Kherson region.

In addition, on March 22, a 6-year-old boy was mortally wounded as a result of shelling in the city of Izyum, Kharkiv region. And on June 21, a 12-year-old boy died from his injuries as a result of shelling in the village of Mali Prohody, Kharkiv region.

As a result of bombing and shelling by the armed forces of the Russian Federation, 2211 educational institutions were damaged. Of them, 230 were completely destroyed.

We will remind you that on August 1, the state portal for the search for children, Children of War, started working in Ukraine. It can be used by anyone who has information about a child who suffered as a result of the military aggression of the Russian Federation.
