The Council decided to toughen responsibility for "keyboarding"

The Parliamentary Committee on Regulations has been tasked with developing amendments to the legislation regarding the strengthening of responsibility for "button coding" by January 15

The Parliamentary Committee on Regulations has been tasked with developing amendments to the legislation regarding the strengthening of responsibility for "button coding" by January 15. This was announced by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmitry Razumkov.

"A meeting of representatives of parliamentary factions and groups took place. Together with the Prime Minister, we discussed the situation that may have occurred yesterday. I mean the phenomenon which, fortunately, on the one hand became an exception within the walls of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 9th convocation, but sometimes returns. The phenomenon is called "impersonal voting" or "button-coding," Razumkov said.

He reminded that the People's Deputies even adopted a law on responsibility for impersonal voting.

"But today all colleagues say that it does not work. Therefore, we agreed on the following: first, we have a regulatory committee, until January 15, this is the general position of all factions and groups, to develop amendments to the legislation that would make stricter responsibility for impersonal voting. Both within the framework of increasing criminal responsibility and within the framework of increasing fines for such actions," said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada.

He added that the legislation must be developed by January 15 in order to consider it one of the first after the New Year.

"Secondly, all factions turned to me with a proposal to install additional cameras in the hall, which would record impersonal voting, which, God forbid, will take place. For example, in the lodges," he said.
