President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev has changed the military doctrine of Kazakhstan, reports Kaztag
"Introduce the following changes and additions to the decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 29, 2017 No. 554 "On approval of the military doctrine of the Republic of Kazakhstan": in the military doctrine of the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by the above-mentioned decree: title "1. Introduction" should be read as follows: "Chapter 1. Introduction"; in paragraph 5: sub-paragraph 2) to be excluded," says Tokayev's decree.
Some of the revisions aimed to replace the word "title" with "section" as indicated in the citation, but the vast majority of the changes affected the fundamental wording of the doctrine. The document contains exceptions to the old doctrine and additions to it. In the new doctrine, the changes touched on the issues of cyber attacks, military cooperation with Russia and other areas. - In order to increase the mobility of troops and adequately respond to modern threats to military security, measures are consistently and systematically carried out to improve the structure, strengthen the composition and develop the infrastructure of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
New forms of application and methods of military action are being introduced to solve tasks in crisis situations and to end internal armed conflict, including when ensuring the legal regimes of a social emergency, state of emergency and martial law.";
