The Pechersk district court of Kyiv chose a measure of suppression of the people's deputy and the fifth president, Petro Poroshenko, in the form of a personal commitment.
The corresponding decision was announced at the meeting on January 19.
Let us remind you that Poroshenko is accused of treason and financing terrorist organizations.
The former president was forbidden to leave the territory of the Kyiv region, and was also obliged to hand over his foreign passport and appear when summoned by an investigator, prosecutor or court.
At the same time, the prosecutors requested that Poroshenko be imprisoned in a pre-trial detention center with a bail of 1 billion hryvnias.
The term of the suspension measure is two months — until March 19, 2022.
At the same time, the ex-president's lawyers said that the defense would appeal the court's decision, calling the court involved, the main purpose of which is to force Poroshenko to "isolate and silence".
