Scholz said that Germany has overcome its dependence on Russian energy resources.
The Chancellor of Germany thanked the citizens for the economical use of energy and called Russia an unreliable trading partner.
"We got rid of addiction and prepared well for the coming winter. We take the necessary measures and do not allow ourselves to be intimidated," Scholz said
Scholz also condemned the recent attacks by the Russian Federation on civilian objects in Ukraine, calling such actions war crimes that will not help Russia win the war.
"Such scorched-earth tactics will not help Russia win the war," the chancellor said. According to him, this only strengthened the determination and perseverance of Ukraine and its partners.
Such actions of the Russian Federation, as well as the "mobilization of Russian men for war," he called "an act of desperation.
Scholz assured that Germany will support Ukraine as long as it is needed.
