French President Emmanuel Macron intends to call United States presidential candidate Joe Biden within a week to discuss European-American relations.
Clément Bon, State Secretary for European Affairs at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reported on this "UNN".
"They crossed paths several times in the past, but now they have to get to know each other again in their current positions. At the beginning of next week, they will have a telephone conversation, which will mark the beginning of a long and lasting cooperation," he said.
According to Bon, the USA is an important ally of France and the European Union. And the diplomat called the reaction to Biden's election as the country's president a "coordinated European reaction."
