Lyashko is trying to return to the Rada, but so far he is losing

In addition to local elections, by-elections to the Council were held in the Chernihiv region

In addition to local elections, by-elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in District No. 208 were held in Chernihiv Region. By-elections had to be held after the death of People's Deputy Valery Davydenko, who had previously been elected to parliament from this district.

The main struggle unfolded between the politician Oleg Lyashko, who intends to return to the Council, and the candidate from "Servant of the People" Anatoly Gunko.

According to the latest data, Gunko is currently in the lead — he has 34,07% of the vote. Lyashko second with 32,21%. Lyudmila, the widow of the deceased Valery Davydenko, is in third place - she has 26,19%.

Lyashko himself has already accused the authorities of falsifications in the by-elections, although even last night he congratulated himself on his victory. In his opinion, in those areas where there was an abnormally high turnout, it is the representative of "Servant of the People" who wins. The "Glavny radical" of the country also connected Gunko with Viktor Polishchuk, the owner of the "Gulliver" mall in Kyiv: allegedly, he allocated 3,5 million dollars for a bribe.
