Dubinsky turned to Zelensky with a request for a personal meeting

People's deputy Oleksandr Dubinsky released a video appeal to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky

People's deputy Oleksandr Dubinsky released a video appeal to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky following the meeting of the Servant of the People faction, at which the US sanctions against him and the possibility of leaving the faction were discussed.

"I am asking you for a personal meeting, without intermediaries who pour this lie into your ears, and swindlers who work for their own pockets, not the interests of Ukraine, in order to present my arguments and once again prove that I am ready to fight for you This is exactly what I am doing, and that is why there will be no departure from the faction of the party to which the people have delegated me," said Dubinsky in a video message published on the YouTube channel.

Dubinsky also claims that if the faction decides to exclude him, it will lead to the collapse of the faction.

As previously reported, on January 11, Washington included 11 individuals and organizations in the sanctions list for Ukraine. Seven citizens of Ukraine, in particular, Dubinsky, and four organizations based in Ukraine, according to the US Treasury, were subject to sanctions. These measures were introduced against them, because Washington believes that they interfered in the electoral process in the USA.

According to the reports of the US Ministry of Finance, these individuals are related to People's Deputy of Ukraine Andrey Derkach, against whom the US imposed sanctions in September 2020 "for claims that they will influence the 2020 US presidential election." The Ministry of Finance calls Derkach himself a "Russian agent" in a press release. Dubinsky denies his connection with Derkach.

At a meeting of the Servant of the People faction on January 25, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky suggested to Dubinsky that they leave the faction, but he refused.
