President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed holding a tripartite summit with US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the de-escalation of military tension regarding the concentration of Russian troops on the border of Ukraine. This was reported by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak.
"President Zelensky suggested to President Biden - and we think that this could work - to hold a tripartite meeting with Putin in the near future. Perhaps through video communication. We are still waiting for a reaction, I think, from the Russian side, but I can say that our American partners have shown a certain interest in our proposal," Andrey Yarmak said.
Ermak did not clarify when such a proposal was made. He added that the Russian side is delaying the holding of diplomatic negotiations at different levels of negotiations.
