At the party congress in Truskavets, the "Servant of the People" faction collected signatures for the resignation of the head of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmitry Razumkov.
"The Speaker's chair actually belongs to the "Servant of the People" as of now. The acting speaker was delegated there by the "Servant of the People"... If a person is no longer a "Servant of the People", his thoughts do not coincide with the "Servant of the People", then he will simply be replaced, as well as other positions, for example, in the Cabinet of Ministers", - said the formal initiator of the dismissal of the speaker, the head of the faction Davyd Arahamia.
At first, Davyd Arahamiya submitted an appeal for the release of Razumkov, as did the parliamentary faction. Later, the second - already personally from seba.
Dmitry Razumkov explained that he would resign if the parliamentarians made such a decision. If the deputies vote for his resignation, he will remain a politician.
"If the appropriate decision of the parliament is adopted, indeed, I will be a non-partisan People's Deputy, this is a normal process. Many colleagues identify themselves as non-factional. And then we'll see," said Razumkov.
Meanwhile, a large meeting of People's Deputies from the "Servant of the People" faction is taking place in Truskavets, which was personally attended by the head of state. At the end of the meeting, People's Deputy Yulia Paliychuk reported that more than 150 signatures have already been collected for Razumkov's resignation, and this allows the issue to be brought to the session hall for a vote.
At the same time, Dmitry Razumkov, who was not invited to Truskavets, initiated a personal meeting with the deputies. He officially invited the People's Deputy of the "Servant of the People" faction to a meeting on Monday, October 4.
Razumkov wants to discuss his "unsatisfactory" work for two years as speaker.
It should be noted that there have been rumors since the beginning of the year that President Volodymyr Zelensky would like to see acting Vice Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk as the head of the Verkhovna Rada. The reason for such a desire was the independence of the current chairman, Dmitry Razumkov, who allegedly has his own political ambitions and tries not to depend on the Office of the President.
In Truskavets, President Zelensky for the first time publicly commented on the possible resignation of the speaker of the Council, stating that this is an internal matter of the "Servant of the People" faction, and in general, the party is not on the right track on the topic of those who do not share Bankova's views on the fight against oligarchs and sanctions policy.
