The Navy of Ukraine is getting ready for celebrations in honor of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence. This was reported in the Public Relations Service of the Naval Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In Odessa, the festive events will include a ceremonial passage of warships and ships and a flight of aircraft, as well as an air, sea and statistical display of weapons and military equipment of the security and defense forces and the equipment of the armed forces of partner countries.
In addition, various demonstrative performances by military units of the Navy are planned, in particular, the landing of an amphibious assault on the coast with the use of pyrotechnics and blank cartridges, the landing of paratroopers and the like.
"All these events require appropriate preparation directly at the places of future events during August 18-24, so we apologize for any inconvenience," the Navy said.
Also, the national Navy will take part in a parade in Kyiv, where the military equipment of the Ukrainian fleet can be seen in the water area of the Dnieper River and in the sky above the capital.
"In addition, festive events will be held in other places of deployment of the Navy unit. Military personnel of the Navy are diligently preparing for celebrations in honor of the anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine, in order to present the national fleet with dignity," the Navy said in a statement.
