The government has allocated 460 million hryvnias for the payment of partial unemployment benefits for the period of quarantine restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We would like to remind you that this program to help small and medium-sized businesses, which suffered as a result of the reduction of the economic activity of enterprises due to the quarantine, started in 2020. However, it was suspended at the beginning of 2021.
Now, according to the government's decision, the program is being renewed and will allow for full repayment of the payment arrears.
To date, the state owes 459 million hryvnias on more than 3000 applications for payment. This debt to entrepreneurs has been "hanging" since January 2021.
Payments are expected to resume on October 1, 2021. This will happen only after all the necessary bureaucratic delays — after the adoption of the corresponding changes to the budget of the Fund of Obstetrical State Social Insurance.
