Ukraine will extend the housing program for Ukrainians. The Verkhovna Rada approved the relevant draft law in the second reading at a meeting on Thursday, April 29.
The draft law on the creation of a single organization with the necessary resources was supported by 277 People's Deputies.
The law assumes that the State mortgage institution will join PJSC "Ukrainian Financial Housing Company" (Ukrfinzhilye). The latter was created in 2020 to fulfill the President's task to implement the "Affordable mortgage" program.
The Ministry of Finance must issue domestic state loan bonds with subsequent acquisition in accordance with the procedure determined by the government into state ownership in exchange for such bonds of shares of the additional issue of PJSC "Ukrfinzhilye".
In addition, the planned indicator of state internal borrowing is increasing by UAH 20 billion. Thus, in the budget for this year, the maximum amount of public debt will increase by 20 billion hryvnias.
Previously, "Servant of the People" stated that in the short term, about 8 thousand mortgage loans will be provided for the purchase of housing and 12 thousand apartments will be purchased for their financial leasing. At the moment, there are more than 650 thousand families on the housing register, 1,5 million migrants from Crimea and Donbass are also waiting for state support.
The law also provided for expenses:
- for the purchase of new trams for the cities of Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih in the amount of 1,2 billion hryvnias,
- for the development of communal infrastructure, including the purchase of communal equipment, in the amount of 100 million hryvnias by decision of the Cabinet of Ministers.
