In Ukraine, the establishment of an educational institution for the training of specialists in the field of cyber security is envisaged. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky during an interview with Ukrainian TV channels as part of the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. Security of the country" in Kyiv.
The head of state noted that today threats to information security and cyberthreats can pose no less danger to the state than enemy weapons. To counteract these threats, a cyber security center was created, the presentation of which will be held in the near future.
The President reported that the cyber security center will cooperate with various intelligence agencies - both Ukrainian and partner states. A large number of Ukrainian, European and American analysts will be involved in it.
In addition, according to Zelensky, the issue of training specialists who will be engaged in ensuring cyber security: of the country, citizens and the entire digital space is being worked on.
"We will open a new powerful university. Ego's presentation is also almost ready. A university in which there will be professions related precisely to the security of the state and the security of the person. Cybersecurity is one of the main faculties of this university," the president said.
He noted that the best children will be selected for the university, for whom a favorable space for learning will be created and high scholarships will be provided.
"Modern laboratories, cyber and biochemical centers will be built. They will immediately receive knowledge, theory and practice. Also, there will be a selection of powerful teachers, primarily Ukrainians, but specialists from abroad will also be attracted there. Everyone will receive a very high salary, regardless of what country they come from. This university will train professionals whose direction is the security of our country, who after this university will have to work specifically for the state," Zelensky emphasized.
