The third Prayer Breakfast was held in Odessa, gathering representatives of the regional authorities, clergy, people's deputies of the region and businessmen in the Reception House of the Odessa Regional Council.
On behalf of the Odesa regional administration, the first vice-governor Boris Voloshenkov welcomed those gathered, noting the importance of such unifying events.
Oleg Radkovsky, the First Deputy Chairman of the Odesa Regional Council, in his welcoming speech said that the prayer breakfasts unite representatives of different confessions and religions, representatives of government and business around the important goal of building a peaceful, successful and prosperous Ukraine.
Also, the gathered were greeted by the mayor of Odesa, Gennady Trukhanov.
Holding this spiritual event has already become a tradition for the multinational Odesa region and has united a large number of different people around it.
During the event, deputies of different levels, representatives of the mass media and the clergy read excerpts of prayers dedicated to all spheres of the country's life: to the military at the front, to doctors in hospitals, etc.
At the end of the Prayer Breakfast, representatives of different religious denominations read a common prayer for our country.
We note that for more than 50 years, prayer breakfasts have been a tradition of many countries of the world, uniting national elites.
