A large-scale march for animal rights took place in Odessa (photo, video)

Odesa joined the All-Ukrainian March for Animal Rights, organized by Uanimals.

On Sunday, September 5, about 300 people came out to defend the rights of animals in our city. The main idea of this march this year was an appeal to the authorities of the country and local authorities with the demand to accept the already submitted amendments to the current legislation and subordinate regulatory documents in the sphere of animal protection from cruelty.

In particular, animal protectionists demand: ban dolphinariums; prohibit the use of animals in the circus; will ban the fur industry; ban the use at animal feeding stations; prohibit experiments on animals; ban contact zoos, etc.

You can read more about it in the leaflet presented for this march.

The march went from the City Garden to the City Hall building on Dumskaya Square, and from there to the Nemo Dolphinarium on Langeron Square.

Along the entire route, the participants of the march urged people not to create a demand for entertainment with animals, for cruel treatment of them and their killing.

In addition, during the march, its participants and passers-by who joined them left their signatures under the appropriate appeal to the authorities.

In total, several hundred signatures were collected in Odessa in support of animal rights, against cruel treatment of animals.
