Specialists of "Infoksvodokanal" successfully completed a pilot project on the renewal of sewage networks on Motornaya street. More than 300 meters of the pipeline, which had reached its operational limit, was restored on this site.
For the first time in Odessa, works were carried out according to the innovative German method of renovation. According to this technology, a special polymer sleeve is inserted into the old pipe, which can take the shape of the original pipe.
Then, under the influence of an ultraviolet lamp, a polymerization process occurs, as a result of which a new pipe of the same diameter is formed in the old pipe.
However, before starting work, a video inspection of the pipeline and its cleaning from blockages and contamination must be performed.
At the specified section of the sewer on Motornaya Street, the network had to be flushed three times, while champagne bottles, construction materials, and dishes were found in the pipe. Preparatory work took a week, and the renovation of the pipes was completed in just 3 days.
As Igor Lysenko, director of the Infoxvodokanal branch, noted, modern German renovation technology has proven itself in practice. It allows you to significantly save time and effort when carrying out work. Now there is no need to carry out large-scale earthworks, damage to the road surface, green plantings, and it will also be possible to change areas where it was previously impossible to carry out excavations.
In addition, there is no need to stop the work of the collector, which means disconnecting consumers from services.
And the most important thing is the polymer material from which the new pipes will be made - German production, it is resistant to aggressive environments and corrosion, and is also capable of serving at least 50 years.
Today, the main task of "Infoksvodokanal" is the high-quality water supply and drainage of the city of Odessa. For this purpose, the company carries out large-scale works to replace worn out and emergency networks. In 2019, Vodokanal specialists already laid more than 11 thousand meters of new networks.
This year, work on the replacement of the most damaged areas continues. And the use of modern technologies
and methods will allow to update even more networks, while minimizing inconvenience for consumers.
