Professional standards for teachers of secondary schools, lyceums and primary classes have been approved in Ukraine. Interfax-Ukraine. The list includes 14 professional skills of a teacher.
The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture approved the professional standard for the professions "Teacher of primary classes of a general secondary education institution", "Teacher of a general secondary education institution", "Teacher of primary education".
According to the press service of the Ministry of Education, the professional standard embodies a modern approach to determining the list and description of the general and professional competencies of a teacher. So, the general competencies included civil, social, cultural, leadership and entrepreneurship.
The list of competencies also includes:
- linguistic and communicative competence;
- subject-methodical competence;
- information and digital competence;
- psychological competence;
- emotional and moral competence;
- pedagogical partnership;
- inclusive competence;
- health-saving competence;
- predictive competence;
- organizational competence;
- evaluative and analytical competence;
- innovative competence;
- reflective competence;
- ability to learn throughout life.
"The professional standard allows teachers to define clear guidelines for their own professional development, as well as prevents risks of biased assessment of teachers' professional competencies during their attestation and certification," the ministry said.
In addition, the document contains a description of the teacher's professional competencies in the distribution by qualification categories - specialist, specialist of the second category, specialist of the first category, specialist of the highest category.
