Turkey cancels the requirement for PCR tests for air passengers from Ukraine

This will save up to a thousand hryvnias per person.

Turkish authorities intend to cancel the requirement for air passengers from Ukraine to undergo PCR tests for coronavirus before departure from May 15. avianews.com learned about this from the information of the largest Turkish airlines, Turkish Airlines and Pegasus Airlines.

This will allow travelers to save about UAH 1000 when making a trip.

The authorities left in force the rule that requires passengers to fill out a special form before leaving for Turkey. In it, you must specify your passport data, flight and place of residence in Turkey. After filling in the data, the system generates a Hes-code, which must be presented in hotels, places of public catering, shopping centers and transport. With the help of the Hes-code, the authorities control whether a person has had contact with a person infected with COVID-19, and if this has happened, they notify him.

Now air passengers from all countries traveling to Turkey must undergo a PCR test for coronavirus at their own expense. No more than 72 hours should pass from the moment of passing the analysis to the moment of departure of the plane. The test must show a negative result. Children up to and including 5 years of age are exempt from the PCR test for coronavirus, as well as passengers who are traveling to third countries with a transfer at Turkish airports and do not enter the country.
