Travel on the first toll road in Ukraine will cost approximately 8 Eurocents (about 2,6 UAH) per kilometer. This was told by the first deputy head of the State Highway Agency of Ukraine — Ukravtodor Andrey Ivko in an interview with Forbes Ukraine.
The first concession route will connect Krakow (Lviv region) and Rivne, passing through Lviv and Brody.
"It will be a first-category road with a length of approximately 280 km," Ivko noted.
He emphasized that there will definitely be a free alternative to the toll road.
According to him, the feasibility study of the project was carried out by the Avtomagistral-Yug company at its own expense within the framework of the memorandum with Ukravtodor. But it will be possible to choose a concessionaire (investor) only when the draft law on concessions is adopted. Construction is planned to start in 2022.
