Starting from January 27, deterioration of weather conditions is expected in Ukraine. Snowfalls are returning, which will be accelerated by winds up to 20 m/s.
A cyclone is approaching Ukraine from Greece and Bulgaria. Heavy precipitation will cover the central part of Ukraine and the southwest, where difficult weather is expected. The wing of the cyclone will extend along the Poltava and Sumy regions.
In the evening of January 27 and at night on January 28, the cyclone will cover the northern regions.
In the western regions and in the southeast, there will be small precipitation in cloudy weather. About -1...-3 degrees is expected during the day. In the east +3...+7, in the south around zero, in Zaporozhye +4...+9 degrees, in Crimea the temperature will rise to +10 degrees. In the north - from -1 to +1. In the Center it is about zero, in the Dnieper up to +4...+6 degrees.
In the rest of the territory, windy weather with snowfall or rain is expected (depending on the air temperature).
Rescuers predict that wind gusts today may reach 15-20 m/s. In the western part of the country there is ice on the roads, and in the Volyn and Rivne regions significant snow with blizzard (hazard level yellow).
January 27 in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Cherkassy and Poltava regions — significant precipitation in the form of wet snow, sticking wet snow, ice on the roads, wind gusts of 15-20 m/s in the southern part of Ukraine (and yellow danger level).
"Weather conditions will lead to disruption of the power supply of some settlements in the western regions and to disruption of road traffic on some sections of roads and streets," the State Emergency Service said in a statement.
There is a threat of avalanches in the Carpathians. Forecasters announce the third level of danger.
