The Irish low-cost airline Ryanair announced the introduction of 13 new routes from Ukraine to its summer schedule, including three from Odessa and Kyiv.
In particular, such new directions will be added:
from Kyiv: to Belgium (Brussels), Greece (Corfu Island), Sweden (Stockholm);
from Odessa: to Belgium (Brussels), Great Britain (London), Italy (Venice);
from Lviv: to Spain (Barcelona), Belgium (Brussels), Poland (Gdansk), Germany (Nuremberg), Sweden (Stockholm), Croatia (Zagreb);
from Kherson — to Poland (Warsaw)
The expansion of the route network became possible thanks to the signing by Ukraine of the "open sky" agreement.
"In response to the signing of the Open Skies Agreement, we are pleased to publish our most extensive summer schedule in Ukraine, offering our customers more than 230 weekly flights on 90 routes, including 13 new ones, such as Corfu, Gdańsk, London, Nuremberg, Venice , Warsaw and others... The unification of the airspace of the EU and Ukraine will open the way for us to potentially base aircraft in Ukraine after 210 Gamechanger aircraft are delivered in the coming years," Ryanair's Commercial Director Jason McGuinness commented on the new schedule.
