At Boryspil airport, employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau boarded a plane with a top figure in the PrivatBank affair, who wanted to flee Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of NABU.
It is noted that the handing over of suspicion to the suspect was signed by Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova.
"The Prosecutor General approved a report on the suspicion of the former deputy chairman of the board of PrivatBank in the commission of a crime, provided for in part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. According to operational information, the ex-official planned to leave Ukraine on a private plane in the direction of Vienna, departing from the Dnipro," the NABU noted.
"As part of the NABU special operation, a plane was landed in Boryspil, which managed to fly to Lviv. The flight, on which there was one passenger - a suspect in the case, was diverted a few minutes before crossing the border of Ukrainian airspace after the intervention of the director of NABU and the head of the detective division of NABU," said former People's Deputy and journalist Sergey Leshchenko in Telegram with reference to his own sources.
In turn, the publication "Ukrainskaya Pravda" writes that NABU detained the former first deputy head of PrivatBank, Vladimir Yatsenko.
