The state services portal "Diya" launches electronic petitions

Community residents received an electronic democracy tool that will allow everyone to influence the processes of their community

The Ukrainian state is taking the first step towards electronic democracy - the unified portal of state services "Diya" launches local petitions. This was announced at the Diia Summit Spring 2021 as part of the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. Digitalization".

From now on, Ukrainians can create, view and support electronic petitions in the "Action" mobile application and on the VzayemoDiya portal. Community residents received an electronic democracy tool that will allow everyone to influence the processes of their community.

Previously, local electronic petitions were placed on separate websites of mayors or regions. Now they are available on a single resource - the VzayemDiya portal. A pilot project based on petitions will be launched in Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lutsk, Sumy, Uzhhorod, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipro and Kherson. By the end of the year, it is planned to launch petitions in all communities of Ukraine.

How does it work? A person is authorized through a portal or application. TIN helps to determine the place of registration and belonging to a specific community. If this community is already in Diya, you can view existing, submit and support petitions that concern this community.

In addition, users will be able to share petitions using a link or a printed QR code. You can support the petition only once. This will ensure transparent voting.
