Patrol police cars in Ukraine will be equipped with devices for recording violations of the speed of cars, said the first deputy head of the Patrol Police Department, Aleksey Biloshitskyi.
This was discussed at the press conference on the results of the first 100 days of operation of the automatic system of photo and video recording of traffic violations.
"A device is installed in the patrol car that allows you to record violations that occur around the police car, even if it is in motion. That is, there is an opportunity to record a violation of the speed of cars moving in the same direction or in the opposite direction. This allows the policeman to be mobile and provides an additional moment of violation prevention. Now 4 test programs are being purchased, the tender has already been announced. And for the future program of 2021-2023, the purchase of several such devices is planned."
The Chairman of the State Agency for Infrastructure Projects Kirill Khomyakov added that four test programs will appear on the roads of Ukraine before the end of the year, and 300 patrol cars equipped with such systems will appear in the next few years.
