The Agreement on the joint production of audiovisual works between Canada and Ukraine entered into force on January 1. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.
From now on, under the condition of joint production, Ukrainian and Canadian producers can apply for budget support, tax benefits and discounts for distribution in two countries.
"The agreement opens up remarkable cooperation opportunities for both countries. But it is also important to work on the international promotion of Ukraine. And she is ahead," noted the Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko.
Canada is a recognized leader in co-production, which annually implements about 60 international projects.
"From now on, Canadian and Ukrainian producers can create films together, using all the opportunities available in both countries," commented Canadian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Larisa Galadza.
