Today, January 12, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to introduce state regulation of prices for socially important food products. This innovation was explained by the fact that food prices rose by 12-23% due to the increase in natural gas.
The restriction applies to the following products:
- wheat-rye bread;
- buckwheat grain;
- granulated sugar;
- wheat flour of the highest grade;
- macaroni of domestic production;
- pasteurized milk with a fat content of 2.5% (in a film);
- sunflower oil;
- chicken eggs of category C1;
- poultry (chicken) carcass;
- butter.
The government sets a "price ceiling" for these products. The restriction is that the maximum level of the allowance should not exceed 10% during the quarantine period.
