Conveyor of death: the Odessa crematorium is maximally loaded (video)

Relatives have to wait 6-7 days for the cremation of the deceased.

Today, November 8, the Odesa crematorium is at maximum capacity. The queue is only getting longer. The director of the crematorium, Vladimir Bukach, reports this.

The increased load on the Odessa crematorium is associated with increased mortality from the coronavirus. Therefore, relatives of the deceased have to wait about 6-7 days to carry out the cremation procedure. Previously, cremation appointments were made two, maximum three days in advance.

"We are as busy as possible now and we are working to the limit of our capabilities. But we manage. Registration takes place in advance, approximately six to seven days in advance. You have to wait so long, and before the queue was two days," said the director of the crematorium.

According to him, those who died from COVID-19 are accepted separately after 14:00 p.m. Farewell takes place only in the yard. The time allotted for farewell was not shortened. Mourners are allocated 20 minutes for this.

The crematorium noted that every fifth case of death is related to complications of the coronavirus: of the fifty delivered, the cause of death was the coronavirus in ten of the dead.

Earlier, ElitExpert wrote that there are queues of hearses at the Odessa crematorium.
