The former Patriarch of All Russia-Ukraine Filaret asks the court to compel the State Service for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience to register the resolution of the unrecognized Council of the UOC of the Kyiv Patriarchate on the revival of this religious organization.
"The court is asked to oblige the State Service for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience to register the decision of the Local Council of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate, as canceling the termination of the religious association of the UOC KP and the religious center of the religious organization "Kyiv Patriarchate of the Ukrainian Patriarchate," the State Service reports.
The corresponding lawsuit was filed in the District Administrative Court of the city of Kyiv. In addition, in the claims, it is indicated that the inaction of the defendant - the State Service for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience regarding the registration of the relevant decision in the state register - is considered illegal.
At present, the OASK is solving the issue of opening proceedings on this administrative action.

This was a condition for the creation of a single Orthodox Church of Ukraine, which on January 6 received a tomos of autocephaly from Patriarch Bartholomew of All Saints.
Since then, Metropolitan Epiphany became the sole head of the OCU. However, Patriarch Filaret remained dissatisfied with such a decision, withdrew his signature under the decision of the Local Council on December 15 and decided to restore the UOC KP.
