In Slovyansk, the city commission for the protection of children's rights decided to forcibly evacuate children, and guardians who refuse to leave will be relieved of their duties.
"In the Donetsk region, mandatory evacuation was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers resolution of August 2, 2022. Guardians are obliged to evacuate with children outside the Donetsk region to safer regions of Ukraine. It is the duty of guardians and guardianship authorities to ensure the safety of the child."
The commission decided that guardians with minors should leave Donetsk region as soon as possible. If they refuse, they will be deprived of their guardianship or guardianship duties, and the children will be forcibly evacuated. The decision on the deprivation of guardianship duties is taken by the city military administration.
The city administration notes that despite numerous appeals to guardians and custodians to leave together with their children, 23 families with 34 adopted children still remain in the Slavic community.
It is noted that those who agree to evacuate are provided free relocation to Lviv and Cherkasy regions.
