Zelensky spoke at a meeting of the UN Security Council and called on the organization to condemn missile strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure and to deprive Russia of its right of veto.
"What can a representative of a terrorist state tell you now? That peaceful people do not suffer from their rockets? Everything is obvious. Everything is very obvious. I urge you to take concrete steps to protect humanity and life! The Security Council must give a clear assessment of the actions of the terrorist state in accordance with Chapter 7 of the UN Charter," Zelenskyy added.
He called on Ukraine's partners to condemn Russia's actions, to support the Ukrainian "peace formula", and to provide Kyiv with modern and effective air defense systems.
"While Ukraine offers a ten-point peace plan, the Russian Federation responds with missiles," the press service of the EU delegation to the UN quotes Zelensky as saying.
Zelensky also invited UN experts to visit Ukrainian critical infrastructure facilities to assess their condition.
