The delay in US aid exposes Ukraine to increased risk, the Pentagon general said

Due to the delay in US aid to Ukraine, "the risks are growing every day"

Pentagon spokesman Major General Patrick Ryder said that due to the delay in US aid to Ukraine, "the risks are growing every day."

"Of course, delays in Ukraine getting what it needs continue to expose Ukraine to increased risk. We are fully aware of the direness of the situation, the importance and urgency of the need for ammunition and other capabilities. And so, again, we're going to continue to work very closely with our Congress. The risks are growing every day," — stated Ryder in interview Radio Liberty.

According to the general, in the fight against the Russian invasion, "the Ukrainians showed themselves to be incredibly courageous, brave and innovative fighters." The soldiers "continue to hold the line on most of the front line", despite the occupiers achieving certain gradual successes.

"But now we continue to see how Ukraine holds its position. Therefore, we will focus on supporting Ukraine and preventing Russia from seizing more territory. And then, I hope, in the future we will see that Ukraine will return its territory," — said the general.
