Ukrainians who temporarily live in Lithuania and rent housing can receive monetary compensation for rent. The amount is calculated according to the type and area of housing, the location and the number of people living there."
The following are entitled to cash payments:
- legally reside on the territory of Lithuania and rent housing that corresponds to their local registration
- do not own housing in Lithuania
- have a level of income that does not exceed a certain amount.
To apply for housing rental compensation in Lithuania, you need to contact the municipality of your place of residence.
Documents to be submitted:
- a lease agreement has been signed for at least 6 months and declared;
- certificate of residence registration;
- residence permits for all family members;
- Certificate of income;
- bank account to which payments will be made;
- Reference from the Migration Department.
The compensation will be paid from the date of conclusion of the lease agreement, but not earlier than the day of application.
