If more than 50% of the country will be in the "red" zone due to the epidemic situation, then local elections can be postponed. This was reported by the chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko on August 17.
According to him, Ukraine is focusing on Poland in this matter, where the voting dates were also changed recently due to the pandemic. Elections were also postponed in the Netherlands.
— If we will note an excess ... 50% of the territory will be in the "red zone", then this will be a reason to seriously think about the expediency of holding mass events, including elections, — Lyashko noted.
We remind you that the next local elections in Ukraine are scheduled for October 25, 2020.
