Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, Iryna Vereshchuk, urged the residents of the temporarily occupied territories not to take Russian passports and not to cooperate with the enemy in any way.
Iryna Vereshchuk gave advice to residents of the territories of Ukraine controlled by the Russian Federation:
- do not take Russian passports;
- not to cooperate with the occupiers;
- leave if possible;
- wait for the Armed Forces.
The minister reminded that last week the Russians adopted another decree aimed at further restricting the rights of Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories.
According to Vereshchuk, the occupiers want Ukrainians to either become Russians or leave the temporarily occupied territories. But she is convinced that, firstly, it is impossible to turn Ukrainians into Russians even with the help of forced passporting, and secondly, the occupiers will not stay in Ukraine for long.
It is noteworthy that before ombudsman Lubynets, on the contrary, urged Ukrainians to take Russian passports "in order to survive."
