Vadym Skibitskyi told when the decisive moment in the Russian-Ukrainian war is expected

Spring and early summer will be decisive in the war

Spring and the beginning of summer will be decisive in the war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine, said Vadym Skibitskyi, a representative of the GUR IOU, in an interview with the publication Delphi. He also told whether there is a high probability of a new attempt by the Russians to attack Kyiv.

"Spring and early summer will be decisive in the war. If the big Russian offensive planned for this time fails, it will be the downfall of Russia and Putin," said Skibitsky.

According to him, heavy and decisive battles will take place in Luhansk and Donetsk regions. At the same time, a new attack by the Russians on Kyiv from the side of Belarus, as Skibitsky noted, is unlikely. The same applies to active hostilities in the south of Ukraine. There, according to Skibitskyi, the occupiers are more concerned with the defense of Crimea.

Different experts give different estimates about the end of the war. Vadim, what is the probability that the war will end in 2023?

"We cannot look far yet, we have to pass the first stage - spring and early summer. We see what this war is leading to: the Russian military leadership has changed, the first stage of mobilization has ended, the Russian army is regrouping. Our assessment is simple: the main activity of the Russian army will be deployed in the Donetsk and Luhansk directions."
