Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained in Odessa the organizer of drug trafficking with a batch of ecstasy worth 1,3 million hryvnias. This was reported in the SBU press center.
According to the investigation, the perpetrator ordered drugs abroad on a specialized website. The goods arrived in Ukraine from the European Union through international postal services under the guise of cosmetic products. The man from Odessa was looking for clients on the Internet.
The attacker was detained near the post office after receiving another shipment with 0,5 kg of MDMA.
During the search of the Odessa citizen's residence and in his car, operatives found prepackaged psychotropic substances and packaging equipment. Law enforcement officers also found correspondence with customers about drug trafficking in the perpetrator's possession.
Investigators informed the detainee of suspicion under Article 305 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - "Smuggling of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues or precursors."
Investigative actions are ongoing. Law enforcement officers identify other persons involved in the operation of drug trafficking.
